Chanel 2019 Egypt Paris-New York Scarab Minaudière Evening Clutch Bag

Egypt was the theme for Karl Lagerfeld's 2019 Métiers d'Art Paris-New York fall collection for Chanel. It remains one of the most historic collections to date.

The scarab minaudière is a rare find indeed and a collector's favorite - not simply for the jeweled intricate details, colors and paneling - but also the size. They just don't make them this large anymore. Massive, but with an intricately etched bijoux chain.

Often considered one of the most expensive looking minaudières Chanel has ever made - because the entire piece looks like it is covered in jewels. While there are various types of white sparkling crystals - small round, long baguettes and the large princess-cut crystals going down the center like diamonds, the larger red pieces are poured resin panels, the molds crafted by the famed House of Goossens, who collaborated with Lagerfeld exclusively for this collection.

Quite a large piece compared to the minaudières today, lined in leather, blue enamel "lapis" and gold colored frame and intricately etched gold chain that can be worn crossbody or tucked inside.

In multicolor resin and gold and gold hardware. Produced in 2019, almost 5 years old and in stunning condition.

This item is in excellent-pristine condition with very few signs of normal use. Stickers remain on much of the hardware and interior frame. Corners are clean with no rubbing or scuffing. Returns Policy

UPDATE: A $25 outbound shipping fee will be deducted from any returns. This is less than what we  pay to insure and ship the item out to you, but we are setting it at a flat fee. 

If you pay with Affirm, there will be a 6% restocking fee to your refund. This is because Affirm will not refund us the initial 6% fee upon processing a refund. Because we are a small boutique, our business cannot bear these losses. 

American Express can be paid through the PayPal option. 


NOTE: All Hermes Handbags are Final Sale due to the sensitivity of the leather and handling. Also, all Chanel Minaudiere bags (due to delicate nature) and all (Chanel and other) items which state "NWT" (new with tags) or "NIB" (new in box) or "New" in the title, store-fresh, are Final Sale as they have never been handled by any individual other than the photographer. We do not mark like-new items which come in on consignment from a previous owner as "new" but as "pristine"; all items that are marked "new" have never been handled by any other customer.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return your item for a refund within three (3) calendar days of receipt of your item (does not have to reach us in 3 days, but must be dropped off/tracking provided within 3 days). The item must be the same condition in which it was received by you and our tamper-proof yellow security tag must still be on the bag and untampered.

Please provide tracking information for your return shipment for us to note it has been shipped back within three days of receipt. We will process your refund within two business days of receipt of the returned package - we require this time to open the package and verify its contents. You can return your package to the California address on the return instructions page in your package. 

PLEASE NOTE: For domestic orders, a $25 outbound shipping fee will be deducted from your return refund. It will only cover a portion of the shipping and insurance we paid to ship out your item. 

We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Shipping

We usually ship within the next business day upon receipt of cleared payment.

Shipping to the United States, major territories, and APO addresses, is Free. We ship FedEx Ground or FedEx Express Saver, depending on your location, so that you will receive the item no later than three days from when it was shipped. A signature is required for you to receive your package.

Overnight shipping is extra.

We also ship to other countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia and other areas. International shipping is USD $50 for FedEx International and is usually guaranteed to arrive within 3 to 5 business days to your local city of residence.* A signature is required for you to receive your package. For international buyers - Customs may impose fees and/or taxes on your purchase prior to delivery. To find out more about potential customs fees, please contact your local customs office. You as a buyer are responsible for any and all customs fees and taxes if they should occur. This is not included in the shipping fee.

All shipping charges are non-refundable.
